Food in Penang Island aka Georgetown

Spent a lovely day in Penang after work 

It was Saturday and I was working together with Miss Fong . 

Something really funny happened 

LMAO 

Went Daorae for lunch after work 

I kinda love the side dishes that day 

Pasta salad, and glass noodle salad. 

We had barbeque 

Kimchi, meat and jigae. 

I really love them all. 

I miss those really flavourful hotpot 

when I was in Melbourne. 

It was pretty cold that day 

hence thats very good timing to have this 

kimchi stew. 

The fried rice that I always want to try 

with glass noodles. 

Yum . 

After some groceries shopping at Gurney, 

went Armenien Street for a walk. 

Found amelia cafe. 

I knew this place, I walked here before 

But it's kinda diff to drive here. 

Aunt's car fits into the little lane way 

perfectly. 

Kinda pricey I would say 

But I dunno how they taste 

because I went there after lunch 

couldn't find any pastries or cakes 

dolce I want to eat. 

So we left. 

Since we were at that area, 

went Light house cafe for a quick look . 

Yo ! It rocks man !

Pretty quiet saturday afternoon. 

we had this orange moon 

Let me know if i got the name wrong. 

it's a combination of cinnamon, chocolate, orange and coffee ? 

Im not quite sure

Machachinno , I didnt try it . 

But baby said it was nice. 

Carrot and walnut cake,

I ain't a big fan of carrot cake 

But I love this madly

Weekend .

Buffet dinner at Paya Serai Hilton 

It was sort of like international buffet. 

But I really feel great that I can have 

some true salad with little mayo and more cheese.

Blue cheese, feta cheese and mozarella in pieces 

Oh my god , that's just perfect !

Pasta. Ok, it doesn't taste good to me. 

desserts.

They all look good 

But....There's room for improvement I think. 

These photos were from two different restaurant in PJ's hilton. 

One was from Genji Japanese restaurant 

whereas another was from Paya Serai. 

I guess they priced reasonably.

Well,

and really a big clap for my aunt's camera and her shooting skill. 

Remember last time I was really impressed by the Old School style 

Starbucks.

that's fantastic. 

 I reckon it's a very good strategy to 

"sub" some of the promoting jobs to blogger.

Once again I have to say 

their desert let me down somehow. 

But I love this creme brulee. 

 Some traditional Hong Kong dessert. Pancakes, 

mango coconut milk with sago 

 A lot of things to do with mangoes.

Paddington House of Pancake Gurney

A random Sunday evening 

met up with Heng and Amelia after

we gathered in the afternoon

 indulged myself with a cup of hot chocolate

and something with chicken and pancake 

Not too bad 

 This is what Amelia had 

alot to do with cheese.

 I couldn't give it a try coz its beef

 Paddington House of Pancake 

Quite a good choice when you 

craving for western food at reasonable price. 

Dinner at Ipoh

After my bowling game on Sunday 

went Ipoh for dinner 

 They always famous of variety of 

chinese pastries or biscuits 

which Im really not a big fan of them.

 I know this name egg tarts 

Baahaahaa !

Okay, Ipoh is famous for its bean sprout and chicken 

sorry if this photo disgusts you

 Meatball and Fishball soup 

pretty average standard 

 They give these chicken

according to our portion 

Somehow thats too much for me

Overall I dont really like these signature dishes 

 Rice noodle ?

they named it "hor fun"
